OBJECTIVES AND FUNCTION OF IQAC

Objectives of the IQAC

The IQAC of the College is constituted to achieve the following objectives:

  • Establishing clarity and focus in institutional functioning in order to enhance, maintain, and create quality. As a result, the institution will instill a quality culture throughout.
  • Make sure the institution integrates various activities and institutionalizes best practices.
  • Providing a solid base for decision making by integrating all aspects of service quality.
  • The ability to be an agent of change within an organization.
  • To ensure effective implementation of policies and assurance of quality for stakeholder groups through internal communication. 

 

Functions of the IQAC

  • A college-wide quality benchmarking and evaluation process is being implemented for a variety of academic and administrative activities.
  • Establishing a learner-centred environment where faculty can engage in participatory teaching and learning by adopting the knowledge and technology required.
  • In order to ensure quality in the institution, students, parents, and other stakeholders are asked to provide feedback on the processes related to quality.
  • Achieving quality in higher education by providing parameters for measuring quality.
  • Organization of inter- and intra-institutional workshops in order to promote quality circles will be promoted.
  • By documenting the various programs and activities offered by the College, we aim to improve its quality.
  • Coordinates quality-related activities, including the adoption and dissemination of best practices, at the College.
  • An institutional data source is used to maintain and enhance the quality of the institution, and this is accomplished through the use of MIS and ERP systems.
  • Creating an environment in the college conducive to quality.
  • According to the quality parameters and assessment criteria developed by the relevant quality assurance body (e.g. NAAC, NBA, NIRF), prepare the College’s Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) according to the prescribed format, based on the College’s IQAC’s quality parameters and assessment criteria.
  • In addition, college develops Quality Radars (QRs) bi-annually and ranks the integral units of the College on the basis of AQARs
  • Obtaining quality assessment, maintenance, and enhancement through interaction with SQACs during the phases before and after accreditation of the accreditation process.
  • Documentation and record-keeping will be handled by IQAC as defined by UGC Regulations of 2010.
